| FULL DESCRIPTION |
The Central bike is designed for anyone who is a dirt jumper but wants a more all-round bike than the Metropolis. The rear derailleur, 100 mm fork and chainguide open up more options. The Central will be perfect for dirt jumping and slopestyle, but with a tire change it will also work great in mountain environment and 4X racing. And what's most important, it's built around a beautiful, full-cromoly frame with the same geometry and style as the Suburban 26”.
The 2009 Central 1 gets a whole bunch of new high end parts, making this bike significantly better and lighter than last year's model. Marzocchi delivered their top-of-the-line DJ1 fork with a special alloy steer tube that saves a lot of weight. We spec'd the X5 derailleur, and one of the highlights of the drivetrain is certainly the legendary E13 chainguide. To save more weight, we spec'd a pivotal type slim saddle and a high-end tire combo from Kenda picked by our pro riders. The 2009 frame in the Central 1 is made from multi butted cromoly tubes, thus saving even more weight. The wheels are build on Sun Singletrack rims and the from hub runs on sealed bearings. All these upgrades make this a killer all-round jumping bike.
New for 09:
Multi butted cromoly tubes in frame
High end DJ 1 fork with alloy steer tube (much lighter than the fork in 08 bike)
E13 STS chainguide
Pro tyre combo – for performance and weight saving
Pivotal seatpost and saddle system
20mm sealed bearing front hub
