I'd decided to buy a Scott Speedster, but went for 2011 model so I could get a better spech at lower price. Spoke to Damian, who told me they didn't have anymore in my size, but proceeded to look for reasonable alternatives - ended up offering me this year's model for not much more than I was originally prepared to pay. Very good communication with delivery issues, and patient with my own (unfounded) doubts concerning the bike / components on arrival. What stood out for me, and is particularly important when dealing with buying online, is the direct and efficient communication. Speaking personally, or being passed on quickly, to the boss of the company makes a huge difference to one's confidence and trust in who you're dealing with. I went to most of the bike shops in cardiff yesterday looking for a Carbon road bike,Could not find anyone who stocked a bike in my size as i am over 6ft 5 i went to Damian Harris cycles and was amazed they at a couple of very large road bikes 1 was a Moda and the other a Mekk. Sam very kindly gave me a bike fit and spent over an hour taking to me about those two models.I tried them both and the mekk felt better and it was on offer with over £400.00 of it.These guys really cared and as i am new to the cardiff area this will be the bike shop i will be using for all my cycling needs.

I recently bought a Scott Voltage FR20 from here, the original model i chose turned out to be out of stock, so they offered me the newer version and all of the team (i spoke to Damian & Joe) were extreamly helpfull, they offered help for putting the bike together and made sure the bike reached me as quickly as possible. Excellent service! Managed to get a Scott Spark Jr to me right at the last minute before Christmas. Responded to my email enquiry immediately (unlike all the other bike shops I tried) and followed up immediately when there was some confusion with the courier delivery. Quality Very good Appeal Excellent Service Excellent I called Damian Cycles on the off chance of buying a Scott Foil 2012 I saw on the internet, however they were out of stock. I was passed on the the shop owner, Damian himself. He sorted me out a 2013 Scott Foil. He was very helpful and I even managed to get hold of him on his day off. The lads in the store were also very helpful and put up with my daft questions about the bike. When I bought the bike the shop was very communicative in letting me know what process they were going through and when I could expect delivery. The bike arrived well packed and secure the next day and was pretty much assembled. Overall I`m very pleased with my purchase and if Damian Harris Cycles were not so far away I would defiantly use them again. I managed to get my hands on a brand new Dawes Ultra Galaxy thanks to the guys from Damian Harris cycles. Due to my location, I haven`t visited the shop, but only spoke through the phone. What a fantastic shop. We have been dealing with Damian for many years. I needed a new bike and he gave me sound advice. Made sure I did not spend more than I needed to, even though I had a larger budget if need be. I am very short ( 5 foot) and they do not make frames for little people like they used to. I was let down by another company after locating a dirt bike that my son wanted for his birthday. After a few phone calls I was worried that I was not going to be able to get this particular bike before the big day, everyone seemed to say that the bike was not in stock and that new stock was not going to be delivered until mid June. I rang Damian Harris and was met by a very helpful sales man (sorry didn't take the name!) who spoke with Damian, next minute they were on the phone to the Scott factory. Within ten minutes they called back to say they had one and that it could be with me within 5 days from Switzerland! I've had several calls updating me to its whereabouts and it arrives tomorrow - I have a VERY excited 15 year old son. Thank you all so much! Scott Genuis LT 20 accross Scotland – june 2011 I made this purchase in anticipation of a mega trip with two friends on a 190 mile off road west to east traverse across the Cairngorms from Fort William to Aviemore and on to Mount Keen (900m) and beyond to Montrose. A do it all light weight machine was required. My two compatriots on Zesty 514s had the edge by a couple of pounds but did they have the versatility of lockout or reduced travel for the long fire road ascents the river crossings and road sections or the geometry and travel for the monster descents? Firstly the bike came tubeless ready but with tubes installed. These were quickly removed and after adding some “stans” reinflated to preferred pressures. The stock tyres are big enough to allow plenty of variation on pressures to suit condtions. The standard Scott saddle was swapped for something more forgiving for the week ahead. The suspension was already set up by the nice people at Damian Harris. Twinlock on the bars was immediately tested and worked a treat, though be careful when flipping the bike over for maintainance as it is proud and contacts the hard surface when placed upside down. Once off the train we commenced our journey east from Fort William in torrential conditions. No difficulties with the multiple river crossings on the way to the Witches trails and Gondola at the world cup downhill though not equipped with full face helmets and body armour we were only permitted entry to the red route. Full travel mode was dialled in and the suspension came into its own with the 203 Avid rotor doing its job upfront on the awesome downhill run. The dropper post enables you to tackle the steep stuff without a pause just keeping rolling dropping the post down as you go. Leaving the Zestys’ for dead was a nice feeling. Many a loch and 5 nights later remarkably no mechanical issues or any punctures we arrived at mount Keen. A long push up to just shy of the summit in 60mph wind was no fun but it was worth it for the 5 mile descent on rocky paths with boulders flying up in all directions, a little unnerving on a carbon frame bike. All in all no incidents no damage and a wonderful experience riding on the mountain passes with herds of wild reindeer and not a sole in sight for hours on end. The Scott performed admirably after 6 days punishment in all conditions. I found the geometry perfect for me 5’7” on a medium frame . Avid R Brakes are excellent with good feel and stopping power . X9 shifters positive and accurate. A great performing all mountain machine no doubt about it.

I phoned enquiring about the availability of a bike at 1330 on Friday - it was delivered the following day (today - Saturday) before 9am! Not bad considering I live miles away in the North East of England! The bike is perfect and to top it all off I got a deal which meant the bike was quite possibly the cheapest in the UK. After seeing the great reviews for this shop on the web, i decided to buy my bike from here. I was so pleased when i received a service that was as good as people was saying. The original bike i wanted was actually sold out :( However after receiving a phone call from Damien the problem was resolved quickly and i ended up with the same bike but in a different colour (that was nicer anyway). I thought due to this problem i would receive my bike later than i expected, how wrong i was! I orderd my bike on a Friday and got it on Tuesday just the next week, now coming half way across the country i think this is very quick. All i can say to anyone who is reading this and wondering what bike shop to use, USE THIS ONE, its great you wont be disappointed ! I found Damian Harris cycles on Google while i was searching for a 2010 cr1 frame. I contacted Damian but was unable to get my size ,so after talking to Damian it was as cheap to buy a complete bike so i got a 2011 cr1 team. The service i got was first class good honest advice and when bike was ready to go Damian called me to let me know and the bike was on my door step next day he then followed up to make sure it had arrived and all was good so this is a bike shop that i will be dealing with again. In ordering a Scott CR1 2011 model, Damien and his team provided excellent (and i mean excellent) customer service. Damien managed to get the bike delievered to my house with 5 working day and at a very competitive price. This was quite incredible due to the high demand for new bikes in 2011 and also a waiting list of up to 3 months at most bike retailers for the Scott CR1 2011. The bike arrived in great condition and having taken it out every weekend since recieving it in early Feb I have to say that I am incredibly pleased. Thanks for really first rate customer service guys. Watch out Wiggle!

Bought a Mongoose Crossway 350 which arrived next day. Very impressive bike and was well over £100 cheaper than anywhere else. Easily put together and rode it to work today - first time on a bike for 2 years, going to be a regular occurance I feel! After wanting a Pashley Poppy for months, I finally decided to buy one. There were dealers nearer to my home, but after ringing around, Damian Harris Cycles had the most friendly and helpful staff. Despite being on the other side of the country, the staff helped me process the finance, sent me all the forms in the post and kept me updated constantly. The bike arrived quicker than had previously been suggested, which was fantastic, and was posted out to me very swiftly. Upon receipt of the Poppy, I was very pleased to see that the bike had been sent with the utmost care, and the staff also called me back to find out whether I was pleased with my purchase. After having 3 bikes stolen over Christmas was looking to replace them. Visited a local bike shop less than half a mile away, and the service was appalling. Would not do a deal on two bikes and not very help full at all. Gave up and looked on the internet and came across Damian Harris Cycles. Had the bike I required, rang them and spoke to them and what a change. So polite and help full!! Cannot be more pleased. Done a great deal on 2 bikes. The communication was fantastic. Absolutely brilliant customer service, these guys are able to source any bike and are very competitive on price. They really go out of their way to find the bike that’s right for you and don’t just sell you what they have in stock, unlike many other stores!! Tried several bike shops on-line and locally to find a Scott Voltage for my youngest son. No one offered the assistance or customer care that Damian did, he sourced it from Scott when they didn\'t have one in stock. Subsequently ordered my eldest a bike too. Phone calls from Damian to confirm bikes despatched. The BEST service i\'ve had from any bike shop in my 20 years of cycling. Will come to them first next time. Great customer service. Tried A Few Stores And Internet For A Scott Addict R2 Road Bike For My Son, Got Put Off By One And Let Down By Another, Tried Damien Harris On The Off Chance And New Instantly That Customer Service Had Arrived. Extremely Helpfull And Knowledgeable Got Offered A Good Deal, Ordered The Bike Which Was Brought In From Belgium. Delivered To Us On Overnight From TNT The Day After It Was Delivered To Damien In Cardiff. Kept Fully Up To Date With Order Status And Even Got A Coutesy Call To See We Had Received It And All Was Ok With The New Bike. Thanks Again Damien For A Very Refreshing First Class Service. After Looking Around Cycle Shops And On Internet, I Was Very Pleased To Buy A Claude Butler Glyde 2 Pedal Assist Electric Bike,its A Great Bike Easy Comfortable To Ride And It Gets Me Fitter And Healthier. The Electric Assist Is Great When You Need That Extra Power On Gradients. Ideal Bike For Those The Wrong Side Of 50.
