Brief description
Cannondale’s SuperSix EVO frameset is one of the most lightweight fast road frames out there. But the 2021 SuperSix EVO Neo 2 takes things up a notch, adding an ebikemotion rear hub with an electric motor, to help you get further, and faster, while still getting a workout in. It’s still one of the most lightweight, fast road bikes, only better.
Detailed explanation
The SuperSix EVO is built around a BallisTec carbon fibre frameset, an extremely lightweight option with an integrated crown race, internal cable routing on the frame and fork, and aero-optimized tube design for reduced drag. Not only is it really fast, but it also uses SAVE micro-suspension technology in the rear triangle and the handlebar, to provide you with a bit of comfort for those long days in the saddle.
The electric system is the Mahle ebikemotion X35 and comes packed inside the rear hub, with a 250Wh battery inside the downtube. This is one of the cleanest looking electric road bikes out there, and if it wasn’t for the display, you wouldn’t tell the difference.
The rest of the components are all high-end, with Shimano’s Ultegra Di2 adding precise, consistent and reliable shifting performance, as well as a pair of hydraulic disc brakes. Cannondale does like to keep things light, which is why they’ve opted for their HollowGram T47 crankset and the RDe 1.0 rims on the SuperSix EVO Neo 2.
If you want an electric carbon fibre road bike with a subtle, clean design that just looks stunning from every angle, this is the one to go for.
