The V5Rs is the lightest bike Colnago has ever produced, with a frame weighing just 685 grams before painting. Compared to the previous model, the full frame kit is 12.5% lighter, while still maintaining excellent stiffness.
Building on what was learned from the Y1Rs, the V5Rs uses slimmer, high-performance tube shapes. Despite its lightweight design, wind tunnel testing shows it performs aerodynamically close to top aero bikes.
Its front profile has been reduced to 250 cm²—13% smaller than before—thanks in part to a narrower head tube, which helps cut air resistance and improve efficiency.
Even with the focus on weight and aerodynamics, the bike remains stiff and highly responsive, making it suitable for professional-level performance, including riders from UAE teams.
Handling has also improved with a redesigned fork that is lighter and more precise. It supports tyres up to 32 mm wide, offering better grip, control, and speed on rougher roads.
The bike features a pure racing aesthetic, with a raw carbon finish and subtle chrome details. There’s no traditional paint—just a thin clear coat to protect the frame—similar to the bikes used by Tadej Poga?ar during the 2025 Tour de France.
Production is limited to 300 units of the V5Rs, alongside 300 Y1Rs models worldwide.
As part of the V Series, the V5Rs is designed as a lightweight all-rounder. Its more traditional geometry and extremely low weight make it ideal for riders who want climbing performance without sacrificing stiffness or aerodynamics.
Finally, advanced carbon layering techniques ensure the frame is not only light but also strong and durable, with precise fibre placement throughout.

Due to the size and weight of most bikes, a charge would apply to shipping remote regions, offshore UK and Ireland.
The courier will require a signature for your delivery. If no one is available to sign for your goods, the courier will leave a card with instruction of where you can collect it.
