CX Motor with Gravity Casting
The use of the new, more compact CX motor is the big talk for 2016. Haibike have managed to make the motor look even smaller using their patented Gravity Casting aluminium upper casing and the wrap around sump guard. This also allows the battery mount to be integrated including making a built in charging port. They have also twisted the motor upwards, increasing the ground clearance and shortening the rear end. The Motor itself has a max torque of 75nm now providing up to 300% power assist in 'Turbo' mode, this is combined the new 500wh battery to give extra support and faster ascents.
