Built for Modern Trail Riding
The Merida One-Forty 400 2027 uses the same modern trail geometry found across the ONE-FORTY family. Its steep 80° seat angle helps position you efficiently for technical climbs, while the 65° head angle and longer reach provide stability and confidence when descending. The result is a mountain bike that's designed to climb efficiently and remain composed when the trail gets steep and technical.
150mm Marzocchi Front Suspension
At the front, the One-Forty 400 features a Marzocchi Z2 Air fork with 150mm of travel. Combined with the Marzocchi Bomber inline rear shock, the suspension system is designed to absorb bumps, improve traction and keep the bike controlled across rough terrain.
With 143mm of rear suspension travel, the One-Forty 400 is ready for everything from technical singletrack and steep descents to demanding all-day trail rides.
Durable Aluminium Frame
The ONE-FORTY LITE III aluminium frame provides a strong and practical foundation for aggressive trail riding. Internal cable routing, Boost axles, a threaded bottom bracket and bottle bosses add everyday practicality, while the flip chip allows the bike to be configured as a full 29er or with mixed wheels.
Shimano CUES 11-Speed Drivetrain
The Shimano CUES U6000 11-speed drivetrain provides a wide range of gears for tackling steep climbs and varied trail conditions. With a 10-50T SunRace cassette and 32-tooth chainring, the One-Forty 400 is equipped for demanding gradients while remaining straightforward and durable.
Powerful SRAM DB4 Four-Piston Brakes
When the trail points downhill, the SRAM DB4 four-piston hydraulic disc brakes provide strong and controlled braking performance. Large 200mm CenterLine rotors front and rear add further braking power and control for technical descents and demanding trail riding.
Dropper Post and Trail-Ready Components
A long-travel Merida Expert TR II dropper post comes fitted as standard, with travel varying according to frame size from 150mm to 230mm. The dropper allows you to quickly lower the saddle on steep descents, helping you move your body position and maintain control.
The bike also features tubeless-ready Merida Comp TR II wheels and Maxxis trail tyres, with a 29-inch front wheel and the option to use a mixed-wheel setup through the frame's flip chip.
