Lightweight Alloy Frame and Race-Inspired Design
The Scott Scale 40 features a Low Impact Alloy frame with a tapered head tube, Boost rear axle spacing and UDH compatibility. Its clean, purposeful design combines a modern mountain bike appearance with geometry developed for efficient pedalling and responsive handling across cross-country terrain.
RockShox Reba RL Air Suspension
The RockShox Reba RL Air fork provides 110mm of front suspension travel to help absorb trail bumps and improve control over uneven ground. Adjustable air suspension and lockout functionality allow riders to adapt the fork to different riding conditions, from technical trails to smoother climbing sections.
SRAM Eagle 12-Speed Drivetrain
Equipped with a SRAM Eagle S100 12-speed drivetrain and an 11–50T cassette, the Scott Scale 40 provides a wide gear range for steep climbs, rolling trails and faster sections. The SRAM Eagle S200 Transmission crankset with a 32-tooth chainring delivers a practical setup for varied cross-country riding.
Shimano Hydraulic Disc Brakes
Shimano BR-MT200 hydraulic disc brakes provide dependable braking control, helping riders manage speed and maintain confidence on descents and changing terrain. The 180mm front rotor and 160mm rear rotor support controlled stopping across a variety of trail conditions.
Maxxis Rekon Race Tyres and Syncros Components
The Scott Scale 40 comes equipped with 29 x 2.4-inch Maxxis Rekon Race tyres featuring EXO protection and tubeless-ready construction. These tyres are designed for efficient rolling and traction on suitable cross-country terrain.
A Syncros dropper seatpost allows quick saddle-height adjustments when transitioning between climbs and descents, while Alex Rims X25 tubeless-ready wheels complete this capable hardtail mountain bike package.
