Bosch motors provide two challenges: their size and the extremely small drive sprocket. Due to the small chainring of the Bosch motor, the main pivot of the rear triangle would have to be positioned within the motor.
We developed the Sprocket Equalizing System (S.E.S) in order to move the main pivot upwards and achieve the shortest possible wheelbase and a correct axle path. By positioning a pulley wheel directly on this point we can also prevent chain jack and pedal kickback during compression.
We also incorporated a chain guide on the pulley wheel. Together with the guide on the Haibike Sprocket a chain drop—even in extreme conditions—is almost impossible.
What is an Electric Bike?
Put simply an Ebike is a bicycle that is electrically assisted via a motor that provides power to help push the bike along. You still have to pedal, however when the bicycle senses you are pedaling the motor provides you with plenty of additional assistance.
