Detailed explanation
The 2021 Trail Women’s 7 is built around an aluminium frame using Cannondale’s SmartForm C3 Alloy, which is light and durable. The geometry has been tailored to the ladies, with a lowered top tube and a slightly shorter reach to make for a more comfortable riding position.
At the front, you’re looking at SR Suntour’s XCT suspension fork which comes with 100mm of travel and will help smoothen out any bumps in the road. Combined with the comfortable frame, this is a bike that’s made to allow you to enjoy rides of various lengths.
The drivetrain is covered by a combination of Shimano’s Altus and Tourney components, and you get their MT200 hydraulic discs. These are powerful brakes that can stop you instantly when necessary, and a great addition to a well rounded out bike. The wheels are a good combination of weight and stiffness, and come with puncture protection tyres – one less headache on the trails!
The rest of the bike is finished in Cannondale’s components, which includes a short stem, comfortable grips, riser handlebars and their Stage 2 Women’s saddle. Overall, this aluminium mountain bike is a great choice for ladies who are looking to get into mountain biking and want a reliable bike to learn on.
