This Shipping & Delivery policy explains how Damian Harris Cycles handles delivery, collection, shipping charges, delivery checks and customer responsibilities. It should be read alongside our Returns policy and Terms & Conditions.
Delivery options and any delivery charge available for your order are shown during checkout before you pay. If a delivery charge applies, it will be included in the order total before the order is placed.
Because bikes and e-bikes are large, heavy and often high-value items, delivery to remote regions, parts of Scotland, offshore UK addresses and Ireland may require an additional charge or a separate delivery quote. If this applies to your order, we will contact you before dispatch. If you do not want to proceed once the final delivery cost is confirmed, you can cancel the order and receive a refund.
For international delivery, please contact us before ordering so that we can confirm whether delivery is available, the likely cost and the likely timescale.
Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays, unless we tell you otherwise. For stocked items, we aim to prepare and dispatch orders as soon as possible after payment and security checks have been completed.
Some bikes are supplied to order, reserved from the manufacturer, or dependent on manufacturer availability. Where delivery depends on stock arriving from a manufacturer or distributor, any dates we provide are based on the information available to us at the time. We will keep you updated if that information changes.
Unless we agree a different timescale with you, goods bought online will be delivered within 30 days of the order being placed. If we cannot meet an agreed delivery timescale, we will contact you to discuss the options available.
Our courier will require a signature for delivery. If no one is available to sign for the goods, the courier may leave a card or send instructions explaining how to rearrange delivery or collect the parcel from the courier.
Please make sure the delivery address, postcode, email address and telephone number supplied at checkout are correct. We may need to contact you if there is a question about delivery, stock availability, security checks or courier arrangements.
Please inspect the packaging carefully when the delivery arrives. If the packaging looks damaged, crushed, torn or opened, ask the courier to record the damage before you sign, take photographs where possible, and contact Damian Harris Cycles as soon as you can.
If damage is obvious and you are being asked to sign that the goods have been received in good condition, do not sign to confirm that unless you are satisfied. Please contact us promptly so that we can advise you and deal with the courier where needed.
If you discover damage after delivery, keep the packaging, take photographs of the packaging and goods, and contact us promptly with your order number. This helps us investigate transit damage and arrange the appropriate next step. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Where store collection is selected or agreed, we will contact you when the order is ready to collect. Please do not travel to collect a bike until we have confirmed that it is ready.
For security and fraud prevention, we may ask for the order reference, proof of identity, the payment card used, or proof of address before releasing goods for collection.
When the delivery address and billing address are different, we may carry out additional checks before dispatch. This protects customers and Damian Harris Cycles from the risk of card fraud.
These checks may include contacting you by telephone or email and asking for proof of address. Dispatch may be delayed while these checks are completed.
Online customers usually have the right to cancel an order from the time the order is placed until 14 days after the goods are delivered. After telling us you wish to cancel, you normally have a further 14 days to return the goods.
If you cancel under these rights, we will refund the goods and the standard outbound delivery charge where required by law. If you chose a more expensive delivery option, only the standard delivery cost is normally refundable. The cost of returning goods to us is your responsibility unless the goods are faulty, not as described, damaged in transit, or we have agreed otherwise.
Please see our Returns policy for full returns instructions, fault handling and refund details.
