From zipping across town to tackling mountain passes you`ve never ridden before, the Kathmandu EXC from CUBE is designed to get you there - and back - in comfort and style. We chose Shimano`s Cues 2x11 gears for their ease of use and reliability. Then we added powerful Shimano hydraulic disc brakes and Schwalbe`s 47mm Marathon Mondial tyres, so you know you`re in full control at all times. Finally, we selected an easily adjustable Suntour air suspension fork to take the edge off rough road surfaces. With our Integrated Carrier 3.0 and a full complement of accessories - including mudguards, kickstand and lights - you`ve everything you need. Just jump on and go.
Frame description
Attention to detail is a CUBE obsession. That`s why, with the Kathmandu`s Integrated Carrier 3.0, we designed it to work seamlessly with our ACID mudguard. We`ve fitted a flat mount for the rear disc brake - it also accommodates the kickstand - and used Smooth Welding to give the frame joints a tidy, organic appearance. But it`s not all about looks. We also equipped the rear end with a thru-axle and added a tapered head tube for improved rigidity and steering precision, even when fully laden. With Internal Cable Routing to complement the frame`s clean looks, we reckon we`ve thought of everything. Just don`t forget your toothbrush.
