The Lilacbreeze Prism model is a highly capable hardtail eMTB built for riders who want one bike to cover a remarkably broad range of riding. From woodland trails and gravel tracks to steep country lanes, everyday journeys and longer weekend adventures, it combines confident mountain bike handling with the power and range of Bosch’s latest drive system.
The Lilacbreeze Prism finish gives the bike a distinctly lighter, more refined appearance. Its soft light-grey tone feels clean and contemporary, bringing out the sculpted shape of the frame while retaining the understated character that suits a premium, versatile eMTB.
At its heart is the Bosch Performance Line CX drive system, paired with a fully integrated 800Wh PowerTube battery. The CX motor delivers smooth, responsive assistance with the strength to make sustained climbs and demanding terrain considerably more manageable, while the large-capacity battery gives the Reaction Hybrid Pro the range for genuinely ambitious days out.
Cube has integrated the electric system particularly neatly. The battery sits almost invisibly within the down tube and the Bosch motor is housed cleanly within the frame, giving the bike the proportions and uncluttered appearance of a conventional mountain bike. It is also PowerMore-ready, allowing a compatible 250Wh range extender to be added should even greater range be required.
The riding specification has been chosen to match that versatility.
A RockShox Recon Silver air fork provides 120mm of suspension travel on most frame sizes, helping the bike remain controlled and comfortable over roots, loose surfaces and broken ground. Smaller frame sizes use 100mm of travel to maintain appropriate geometry and handling.
Wide Schwalbe 2.6in tyres add further grip and cushioning, providing a reassuring footprint on loose trails while contributing to the bike’s stable, composed character.
The drivetrain combines Bosch assistance with Shimano XT 12-speed gearing, giving a wide range of ratios for everything from steep technical climbs to faster open sections. Powerful Shimano four-piston hydraulic disc brakes provide dependable, progressive stopping power when the terrain - or the additional speed made possible by the motor - demands it.
A remote dropper seatpost is fitted as standard, allowing the saddle to be lowered from the handlebar for greater freedom of movement and control on descents. It is the sort of component often associated with more specialised trail bikes, but one that makes considerable sense on an eMTB capable of covering such varied terrain.
Practicality has not been treated as an afterthought. Internal cable routing and an integrated seat clamp keep the frame exceptionally clean, while a pre-installed chain guide adds security on rougher ground. The Reaction Hybrid is also prepared for compatible ACID mudguards and a luggage carrier, making it straightforward to adapt for commuting, touring or everyday transport. X-Connect compatibility provides an equally neat way to add a suitable ACID front light.

The Reaction Hybrid Pro 800 occupies an appealing position in Cube’s electric mountain bike range. It has the motor, battery capacity and component quality required for serious recreational riding, but without the additional complexity, weight and cost of a full-suspension platform.
That makes it particularly well suited to riders whose routes are varied rather than extreme. Bridleways, forest tracks, trail centres, gravel roads and broken country lanes are all comfortably within its remit, while the hardtail chassis remains efficient and direct on smoother ground.
The Bosch CX motor changes the scale of those rides. Long climbs become less of a limiting factor, greater distances become realistic, and routes that might previously have demanded careful consideration of elevation can become part of an ordinary day out. The 800Wh battery reinforces that sense of freedom, particularly for riders who value range as much as outright trail performance.
At the same time, features such as the air suspension fork, four-piston brakes, broad tyres and dropper post mean the Reaction Hybrid Pro is far more than an electrically assisted trekking bike. There is genuine mountain bike capability here when the surface becomes loose, steep or technical.
The Lilacbreeze Prism finish gives this version a particularly elegant character. Its light-grey appearance feels fresh, understated and modern, allowing the frame design and integrated Bosch system to take centre stage without the bike looking overly utilitarian.
